Leupold has released its first thermal monocular geared towards hunters. The family owned company well known for its high quality hunting optics created a rather unique device with decent specs at a fair price.

10 hours of continuous operation

The LTO Tracker is equipped with a 6x digital zoom and 20 degree FOV, although we're not quite sure if you need more then 1 or 2x zoom on a 206 x 156 resolution sensor. Battery life is always crucial with thermal imagers and they nailed it by squeezing out 10 hours of continuous operation from a single (!) CR123 battery. Its looks are refreshing and fits your hand and pockets just fine. You might even mistake it for your flashlight when you're in a hurry.

We cannot verify the lens and durability of the LTO Tracker at this time but we expect it to be waterproof but not submersible. Stay tuned for a full review once we get our hands on one of them.
